HPE (NYSE: HPE), has announced the expansion of its ‘Saudi Made’ server portfolio with the launch of two new HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers, the DL365 and DL385, powered by 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors. The unveiling took place at the alfanar production facility in Riyadh, marking the delivery of the first AMD CPU-powered server from the site — a significant milestone for the ‘Saudi Made’ initiative.

The new additions to the ‘Saudi Made’ compute portfolio offer advanced performance and next-level security, helping businesses process data faster and generate real-time insights. Featuring the ‘Saudi Tech’ certification logo, the servers are available immediately in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and the Gulf markets. HPE’s continued investment in local manufacturing supports the Kingdom’s vision to position itself as a global leader in data-driven economies, aligning with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.

Mohammad Alrehaili, Managing Director for Middle East at HPE, said:

“We’re delighted to celebrate this major milestone together with our partners AMD and alfanar as we further expand our portfolio of ‘Saudi Made’ servers. We’ve seen an unprecedented demand for robust digital infrastructure and compute capabilities in the Middle East, driven by key strategic investments and frameworks such as Saudi Vision 2030 and technological advancements like AI. This new server offering, leveraging the latest AMD EPYC processors, directly addresses this demand, delivering predictable high performance at scale while helping ensure rock-solid data security at every level.”

Building on the success of last year’s ‘Saudi Made’ HPE ProLiant servers, which received the National Product Certificate, the new DL365 and DL385 Gen11 servers deliver flexibility, scalability, and superior performance. Leveraging 4th and 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors, these systems provide high core counts, enhanced memory footprints, and flexible storage configurations to meet the growing demands of data analytics, processing, and workload acceleration.

Zaid Ghattas, General Manager for Middle East, Türkiye and Africa at AMD, commented:

“AMD EPYC CPUs provide the energy efficiency and performance leadership required to help power the infrastructure that will support Saudi Arabia’s comprehensive digital growth strategy. AMD is proud to work with HPE on this initiative and committed to serving our customers in Saudi Arabia as well as the broader Middle East region.”

Additionally, HPE and AMD are launching training initiatives to enhance the expertise of Saudi Arabia’s majority female workforce, while driving innovation and strengthening the Kingdom’s technology ecosystem.

Markus Grabmeier, Vice President, alfanar Electric, added:

“We are proud to support this expansion of the HPE ‘Saudi Made’ server portfolio, further strengthening not only our own production capabilities, but also our joint contributions to the growing tech ecosystem within the Kingdom. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to advancing technological expertise and fostering female talent in the Kingdom.”
