Samsung Gulf Electronics took part in UAE Codes 2025 with an interactive, practical workshop titled “Coding in Action: Artificial Intelligence & Robotics,” held at Coders HQ in Emirates Towers. The event marked another step forward in Samsung’s partnership with the National Program for Coders, demonstrating the company’s dedication to developing digital skills and empowering youth across the UAE.

The session introduced participants to the relationship between AI and coding in the development of intelligent robotics. Students from the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme worked on building and programming face recognition robots and autonomous line-following robots, allowing them to apply core coding concepts in a real-world setting.

This initiative supports Samsung’s commitment to the UAE’s AI Strategy 2031, contributing to national efforts to equip young learners with foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis.

Samsung Innovation Campus, part of Samsung’s global corporate responsibility programme, continues to deliver high-quality STEM learning across the GCC, helping young people develop the skills needed for emerging technology careers.

Through programmes like UAE Codes and Samsung Innovation Campus, Samsung is helping nurture a new generation of technologically confident innovators prepared to shape the AI-driven future. Its partnership with the National Program for Coders reflects a shared commitment to leveraging education and innovation as drivers of long-term progress.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, directed that 29 October be recognised annually as “UAE Codes” Day, marking the launch of the region’s first e-government on 29 October 2001 — a landmark that kickstarted the UAE’s digital transformation.

In November 2023, UNESCO approved the UAE’s proposal for 29 October to become the International Day of Coding, acknowledging the UAE’s leadership in programming and its role in attracting technological talent from around the world.
