Abu Dhabi-based STORY Hospitality, the operator of an expanding collection of luxury hotels and resorts, has unveiled a set of achievements that reinforce its reputation as one of the most innovative players in the MENA and Indian Ocean hospitality landscape.
With sustainability, digital innovation, and employee development guiding its strategy, the group demonstrates how prioritising guest experiences can also drive meaningful progress across the industry.
At STORY Seychelles, sustainable operations and staff growth have been defining themes this year. The resort marked its 10th anniversary while securing the International Sustainability Award 2025 and its third successive Green Key certification. It has also been recognised as “Seychelles Leading Green Resort” at the World Travel Awards for six consecutive years (2018–2023). Most recently, it earned the Sustainable Seychelles Gold Certification from the Seychelles Tourism Department, a prestigious endorsement of its dedication to responsible tourism, conservation, and community impact.
On the innovation front, STORY Seychelles has embraced AI to improve guest experiences, introducing automated feedback tools, personalised services, and a 24/7 chatbot. Internally, the property has broadened localisation programmes, training schemes, and career progression pathways, ensuring staff development remains central to retention. Guest offerings have also been refreshed, with cultural evenings featuring the UNESCO-recognised Moutya dance and a new dining concept highlighting local flavours.
At STORY Rabat, boutique elegance and sustainable practices are shaping a unique guest journey. Recently named among the Best Boutique Hotels Worldwide by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, the property combines refined service with eco-conscious operations. Plastic-free initiatives, digitalised check-in and billing, QR code replacements for printed materials, and energy-saving technology are all central to its Green Key journey. Personalised guest experiences are being further enriched with curated cultural and wellness activities, as well as preparations for targeted programmes around AFCON 2025. Staff training in sustainability and service has also been expanded, ensuring the team delivers authentic and responsible hospitality.
In Dubai, The H Hotel continues to combine innovation with sustainability. Now Green Key certified for five consecutive years, the property has introduced a biodigester to minimise food waste and rolled out paperless systems. It has also become the first hotel in Dubai to certify over 30 managers in the One Million Prompter programme, enabling leaders to use AI for greater efficiency and guest personalisation. Upcoming plans include refreshed interiors and updated dining options.
Across its portfolio, STORY Hospitality is aligning with global hospitality priorities:
- Embedding sustainability as a core business strategy with visible reductions in food waste, plastic, and paper.
- Using digitalisation and AI to enhance responsiveness, efficiency, and tailored guest services.
- Investing in workforce growth through localisation, training, and career pathways to improve retention.
“As we grow our portfolio, our focus remains clear – creating guest experiences that are authentic, responsible, and future-ready,” says STORY Hospitality CEO, Victor Abou-Ghanem. He adds, “These achievements reflect STORY Hospitality’s role as a benchmark setter in the industry, proving that sustainability, innovation, and talent development can – and should – go hand in hand.”
With more product and digital initiatives set to roll out in the months ahead, STORY Hospitality is consolidating its position as a leader in sustainable luxury and as a driving force shaping the hospitality sector in the region.
