One player has won the Dh5 million second prize in the UAE Lottery Lucky Day Draw held on 15 August 2026, becoming the third person to claim that prize since the lottery launched its current format.
The winning numbers for Draw No. 260815 were 18, 9, 5, 27, 21 and 3 in the Days section. The number in the Month section was 10. The winner matched all six Days numbers but not the Month number, one digit away from the Dh30 million jackpot, according to Gulf News.
Three participants also won Dh50,000 each through the Lucky Chance raffle, bringing the combined Lucky Chance payout to Dh150,000. A further three players won Dh100,000 each, 82 players won Dh1,000 each, and the remainder of the 5,479 prize winners received Dh100.
How the UAE Lottery Lucky Day Draw works
Lucky Day Draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 9.30pm. Players who match all seven numbers (six in the Days section plus the Month number) win the Dh30 million grand prize. Matching all six Days numbers wins Dh5 million. Five Days numbers plus the Month number pays Dh100,000. Every draw also guarantees three Lucky Chance winners at Dh50,000 each.
The draw on 12 August saw 5,887 participants win prizes, with one winner taking Dh100,000 after matching five Days numbers and the Month number.
The Dh30 million jackpot has been won twice since the revised prize structure came into effect. Tayab Khan, a Nepalese expatriate, won it on 27 May 2026, and Sunil Kumar Sadasivan claimed it on 1 July 2026, according to Gulf News.
Before the current structure, Anilkumar Bolla, a 29-year-old Indian resident based in Abu Dhabi, won the only Dh100 million jackpot the lottery has offered, on 18 October 2025. The prize pool was subsequently restructured and the jackpot reduced to Dh30 million in December 2025.
Regulator and licensing background
The UAE Lottery operates under the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), an independent federal executive entity headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The GCGRA was established in September 2023 with a mandate covering lottery, internet gaming, sports wagering, and land-based integrated gaming facilities.
The authority awarded the UAE Lottery its operating licence on 28 July 2024, the first such licence issued under the UAE’s commercial gaming regulatory framework. Under GCGRA rules, any commercial gaming activity conducted without a licence is illegal, and penalties apply to operators and players alike.
During the live broadcast for a previous draw, winner Raquel Sawyer, who has lived in the UAE for 17 years, described her Dh100,000 prize as a ‘big help’ and said she planned to put the money towards her daughter’s education. Nepalese expatriate Sagar Karki, who won Dh50,000, encouraged other residents not to give up hope.
The next UAE Lottery Lucky Day Draw is scheduled for Wednesday, 19 August 2026, at 10.30am, with the Dh30 million grand prize again on offer.
