Taraf, the real estate arm of Yas Holding, and Masdar City, Abu Dhabi’s renowned sustainable innovation hub, have entered into a strategic joint venture to deliver a premium 1.4 million-square-metre residential community within Masdar City.

The project reflects Taraf’s commitment to creating thoughtfully designed, environmentally conscious developments that seamlessly integrate with Masdar City’s long-term vision. With a strong emphasis on sustainable living, the new community supports Masdar City’s mission to redefine modern urban experiences while improving the quality of life in Abu Dhabi. Featuring green spaces, shaded walkways, and cycling tracks directly connected to Al Masar Park, the development offers rare freehold ownership opportunities alongside modern amenities, setting a fresh benchmark for sustainable residential projects in the UAE.

Low Ping, Group CEO of Yas Holding, said: “This partnership with Masdar City reflects Taraf’s strategy of shaping communities that inspire modern living where design, sustainability, and innovation come together to enrich everyday life. By delivering a project of this scale in Masdar City, we reaffirm our brand promise of design-led living while contributing to Abu Dhabi’s Falcon Economy Vision for dynamic, connected growth.”

Ahmed Baghoum, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar City, said: “Masdar City is more than a place to live, it is a community where people can work, learn, innovate and thrive in a truly sustainable way. Our partnership with Taraf combines their design-led approach with our proven sustainability framework to deliver a residential community that enhances Abu Dhabi’s lifestyle offering and sets a new global benchmark for modern low carbon living.”

The community will comprise over 1,000 single-family homes, including a curated mix of two- to six-bedroom villas and townhouses. Organised around a neighbourhood cluster model, the design promotes social interaction, family-friendly environments, and safe play areas for children. Residents will also benefit from dedicated leisure clubs, landscaped parks, and generous open spaces that encourage walking and outdoor activities. The development integrates seamlessly with Masdar City’s wider ecosystem of business, lifestyle, and innovation, ensuring convenience, wellbeing, and a truly connected way of life.
