Kintsugi is the Japanese art of is repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. Making flaws beautiful is the noble ethos of the new Kintsugi Yoga Studio in Business Bay, where as well as the usual classes yoga practitioners expect, there’s also a room made of rock salt. Watch TGI Fridays’ bartenders from around the globe shake it to make it at the 2018 edition of the American’s chain’s World’s Bartender Championship. If you’re in fine voice and of good memory, then could ace Lucky Voice’s singing bee contest. Let the pineapple on pizza debate rage on somewhere else – at The Trophy Room sports bar, you can eat pizza for four hours straight without ever being pestered by divisive topping. In exchange for AED 79, the kitchen will send out slices of margarita and beef pepperoni pizzas that are probably less controversial than the sporting decisions taking place on the bar’s 11 screens. Not a pizza person? Lobster mac and cheese (AED 95) and sticky shrimp (AED 65) are a league above your usual bar fare.

For the first time in the Middle East, Ripley’s Believe It or Not brings the totally bizarre to WAFI in Dubai. The travelling attraction will spread its crazy curios around from now until November and there’s no charge for looking at a fibreglass figure of a giant man, a painting made with stamps and post cards, a giant shark or the world’s smallest electric car.

You’ll be green with envy if you miss this Irish-themed celebration that’s a very early warm-up for Patrick’s Day. Darlings, performing arts centre Drama Scene marks a decade in Dubai with the opening of its new studios at The Mall in Jumeirah Beach Road.
