Now emirate dwellers who need to up their laughter levels can check into a centre dedicated to happiness that the founder insists is different from a typical yoga studio.
Set up by entrepreneur, Rajeev Daswani, the Mind Body Soul – A Happiness Centre opens this weekend with a free event that’s sure to make you smile.

He began practising yoga and with Dubai’s first Happiness Centre is living out his ambitions of helping people fulfil all areas of their lives. Not a teacher or a guru, instead he’s sources experts who can bring the grins.
Eventually he wants to create a happiness community, so does Rajeev think Dubai is in unhappy place? Quite the opposite.
“Dubai makes me very happy!” he insists. “It’s a safe and well put together place and the vision is phenomenal.”
So what else makes Rajeev smile? His son, aged two and five, of course, but also the fact that he’s bringing so many people together in the simple cause of finding happiness.
“The whole idea is to help people empower themselves. We want to help them in opening up and for it to be affordable.” he adds. “For me it’s like a dream come true.”
