The first XDubai Spartan Race Middle East Championship is coming to the UAE. Yes, we’ve had Spartan Races in the region before, but this is the first championship event, which is a collaboration between XDubai Spartan Race and Dubai Sports Council.

It’s not until November, so there’s plenty of time to train for one of three races – Sprint, Best and Kids – of varying distance and difficulty, covering 20-35 obstacles and eight to 22 kilometres.

While the Beast Championship heat is only open to qualified racers, anyone can register for the open Beast heat and the elite and open Sprint heats. Four to 15 year olds can enter the kids’ race, where 1.5km of muddy run is waiting for them.

Spartan Race Kids

All will take place at Hatta’s mountain bike trail, where diverse terrain will become obstacles for athletes.

Spectators can relax in a festival area with food stalls and a chance to see runners cross the finish line.

From 7.30am on 10th November, Hatta Mountain Bike Trail. To register, pick up training tips and find out which races you’re eligble for, visit www.spartanarabia.com
