Do you want even more good times at Global Village?

Global Village

If you haven’t visited Global Village this season, you now have more time to plan your visit.

But be quick, there’s less than a month left…

Global Village is extending this season of festivities for an extra seven days. Yes, you read it right. The original date for the park’s summer closure was 6th April, but there will now be a week-long extension on the 2019 spring season.

Visitors will now be able to enjoy one of the region’s favourite family destination for culture, shopping, dining and entertainment until 13th April.

All 27 pavilions, 160 food outlets, the new Carnaval attraction and 100 plus gaming sites will stay open and in full swing. Don’t miss out on the wandering Turkish coffee-man, the steaming hot karak chai, or the bittersweet Thai mangoes at pop-up stalls around the venue.

There are some big calendar dates coming up that could see special attention from park mascot, Globo and pals. International Day of Happiness falls on 20th March, it’s the Middle East’s Mother’s Day on 21st March and 22nd March is this date of this year’s Festival of Colours. We can’t confirm if the park will be holding any themed events for these days, but communication Dubai Week received this week teased those dates.

The extension also covers schools’ spring break, when the park is bound to be packed with families having lots of fun.

The decision came after Global Village recorded a “huge success this season,” says its CEO. Bader Anwahi, CEO of Global Village, adds: “Our guests…will now have the chance to enjoy the international shopping and dining experiences as they interact with the various cultures, as well as the ever-popular Carnaval rides and attractions for one more week. The extension also accommodates the various holidays that are recorded across the UAE and the region.”

Fun fact: In 2016, Global Village sold more than 1.5 million cups of karak chai.
