JLT 10 4 10

Dine out for 10 dirhams in Jumeirah Lake Towers.

December tends to be one of those ‘I don’t care how much it is, I must have it, whack it on the credit card and we’ll worry about it later’ sort of months. Which means January invariably becomes one of those ‘warming hands in fingerless mittens over oil barrel fires, zero budget, stay inside and hibernate’ months.

But it doesn’t have to be. Between the 6th and 15th of January, there are some seriously cheap eats on offer as 10 of our favourite JLT restaurants will each be serving up a meal for the delightfully micro price of AED 10. Yep, the humble sum of 10 bucks (plus VAT) will get you fed in 10 different restaurants across the JLT area, for 10 whole days.

Participating restaurants include Ayubowan, OWN Café, UBK – urban bar & kitchen, Hyu Korean Restaurant, Nara Pan-Asian and Couqley French Bistro. STARTED).

Ambassadors of awesome Sri Lankan food, Ayubowan, are dishing up authentic portions of the island’s late night/early morning classic, chicken kottu (usually AED 42). Arabian cuisine specialists OWN cafe are offering you manakeesh (usually AED 29). Nara propose a plateful of a real people’s favourite, chicken balls (usually AED 42). (UBK are keeping it real with dreamy signature chicken wings (usually AED 69).

Hyu are turning up at the party with goonmandoo (both vegetable and beef pan-fried dumplings, usually AED 35). And Couqley is squaring things off with the deeply indulgent French ‘morning after’ classic onion soup gratinee (usually AD 47).

So you could eat a different meal, in a different restaurant each day – until you’re within sniffing distance of payday.

Let the munching begin.
