UAE stargazers are once again in for a thrilling summer with the arrival of another celestial happenstance – the Perseid meteor shower, which will peak overnight on 12th August. Escape the city to see it with Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG). Cat women of Dubai, the emirate’s first-ever cat yoga class happens at Ailuromania Café on Tuesday. The ladies-only event has an AED 30 admission fee and will be led by UAE-based yoga coach Anamaria. Pull your moves and take your shot without spending a fil. Prestige Star Sport Academy is offering its basketball courts for free every Thursday from 6pm-10pm until the end of August. Gather a team and hit the air-conditioned spaces at Dubai Sports World, which are usually AED 125 an hour at peak times. A coach from the academy will be on hand to help fans of all ages hit those hoops.
