Rita Ora, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Bob Moses and DJs Disclosure, Mercer, Nightmares On Wax, Roosevelt are headlining a mega music festival in Dubai this weekend.
‘Wake Up Call’ festivals are a series of musical shindigs that take place at W Hotels in various locations across the world.
From 10th-12th October, the latest edition hits W Hotel – The Palm and tickets are now on actual sale.
Purchasing them means hearing live renditions of bangers like ‘Anywhere,’ ‘How We Do,’ ‘Black Widow,’ ‘Innerbloom,’ ‘Treat You Better,’ ‘Latch’ and ‘You and Me’ from the aforementioned artists.
Wake Up Call Festivals have already gone down at W Hollywood, W Barcelona and W Seminyak in Bali. Former featured artists include Charli XCX, Phantogram, Martin Solveig, and Tove Lo.
With that pedigree, you’d expect a lofty price point but standard entry actually starts from AED 100.
Packages for the two-day event range from AED 545 for a festival pass and pool party brunch to AED 1,290 for two days of brunching and a golden ticket to the elevated viewing platform so you can see the headline acts in action.
Or you could drop AED 20,000 for a VIP table of 20. And invite us. Please.
Ways in which the Wake Up Call is like a traditional music festival
Performances will be spread across the venue, in areas like the beach, the rooftop and Wet Deck, where the vibe is already dialled to ‘wild pool party.’
Ways in which the Wake Up Call is not like a traditional music festival
Literally no chance of waking up alone in the middle of a cold field, with only a mound of muddy clay for a pillow.
The festival has very special exclusive treats in store for big rollers in the Marriott Bonvoy hotel rewards scheme. See how RÜFÜS DU SOL deals with a fat dose of slice serve in a private ping pong match, bust a skank or two at a private DJ set with Disclosure, or squeeze your inner spiritual juice with a ‘pinch yourself’ yoga session with Rita Ora.
Rita Ora LOVES her Dubai trips. She recently filmed the video for her track ‘New Look,’ here and before that has appeared at Base, Sandance, The Global Teacher Prize and RedFestDxb in 2016. Disclosure were also here back in 2016, sharing the billing with Rudimental at a gig in Media City Amphitheatre. Nightmares on Wax has also been in Dubai several times previously, most recently in March of this year.
Tickets are on sale at dubai.platinumlist.net. 10th-12th October. W Hotel – The Palm, Palm Jumeirah.
