Sorry drivers, you’re going to pay more for fuel from October.
From 1st October, petrol and diesel prices will rise again in line with costs of oil internationally.
The UAE’s Fuel Price Committee announced the news, which was then shared on social media by Enoc (Emirates National Oil Company).
If you can, top your tank before midnight on 30th September. Especially for diesel owners, it’s a big rise. After that, here’s what you’ll pay per litre to fill your motor, including VAT:
- Super 98 will go to AED 2.61 from AED 2.59
- Special 95 will rise to AED 2.50 from AED 2.40
- Diesel is up by 12 fils per litre to AED 2.76, from AED 2.64 a litre in September.
The UAE has set fuel prices against global averages since August 2015 and they’re announced on about the 28th of every month, when we’ll share them with you.
