Kids have a full week off for the Eid al Fitr break.
Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) confirmed Sunday (2nd June) to Thursday (6th June) will see schools close across the emirate.
It dropped the news with traditional flair on its much adored, occasionally feisty, always informative Twitter account:
The good news is that there will be no school from Sunday Jun 2 to Thursday Jun 6 to celebrate #Eid.
The bad news is that …. wait, there’s no bad news. Have a great week! What are you planning to do? pic.twitter.com/58lE09XBqD

Yep, charge up the iPads, fuel the car, bubble wrap the living room and keep an eye on Dubai Week’s upcoming ‘Things to do’ features – the kids are gonna be at home all next week.
Dubai’s students join the public sector, which will be signing off this Thursday for nine days of whatever they please. The private sector holidays have been announced as the nearly-as-nice Monday (3rd June) to Thursday (6th June).
