As promised, the UAE’s Vice President has announced government service centre ratings.
A total of 600 centres of 29 federal government entities were evaluated over two months to see if they were up to scratch.
The report revealed Fujairah’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship as the best performing, while Emirates Post in Al Khan, Sharjah, came bottom of the table that was shared on social media.
Based on the results, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, ordered managers in the poorly performing offices to be replaced. Staff in the top performers will receive two months’ extra salary.
His Highness announced the evaluation in July, after a mystery shopper tipped him off about issues in a Dubai branch of Emirates Post. Services, ministers and managers will now be evaluated annually.
“We live in an open connected world where no one can conceal errors. Every hardworking individual is a star and an example to follow…We have the courage to evaluate ourselves and our teams because the cost of hiding mistakes is much higher,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
